Asilomar for the Brain and Mind FAQ

  • BrainMind is a private community of top brain scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, philanthropists, and academic institutions collaborating to accelerate impactful innovation in brain science. Our mission is to bring resources into underinvested spaces in the science of the brain and mind, hunting for innovations that have the maximum potential benefit to humanity, regardless of how much profit they may yield.

  • Location: Asilomar Conference Grounds (800 Asilomar Ave, Pacific Grove, CA 93950)

    Dates: March 29th - April 1st, 2026

    You will receive a confirmation email from Diana Saville within a few days of registering. You will also be added to a calendar invite with all of the necessary information.

  • As BrainMind is an invite-only ecosystem, unapproved guests cannot be brought to our events. However, we grow through referrals and encourage you to reach out if you know someone who would be a great fit.

  • To foster open and candid dialogue, the gathering will be held under Chatham House Rule. As a result, there will be no live streaming or public recording of the sessions. Select materials may be shared afterward with permission from participants.

  • This is a working summit designed to move ideas into action. Across three days, participants will engage in a mix of structured presentations, collaborative workshops, and reflective sessions aimed at advancing key initiatives. The format balances learning and contributing, with pre-assigned group work, shared deliverables, and intentional moments for connection and commitment.

  • Travel and accommodations are not covered by BrainMind; participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own transportation and lodging.

    BrainMind has secured a special group rate at the Asilomar Hotel. Details and booking instructions will be provided in a follow-up email upon registration. Meals are included in housing.

    There are limited travel and accommodation grants are available for early-career scientists and those in special circumstances, reach out to Diana (diana@brainmind.org) to explore this.

  • As the essence of this gathering is collaboration, we kindly ask all attendees to be fully present and engaged throughout the entire event. If you have any extenuating circumstances that might prevent full participation, please inform our team right away.
